Role overview
Context and environment:
This post manages the Finance Department of the British Council Tanzania. The British Council is based in Dar es Salaam and works across Tanzania in a variety of projects. .The office consists of a teaching centre, exams department and programmes team with business support providing key resources. The post requires a good understanding of financial management, compliance and good team leadership in line with corporate policy. and local statutory requirements. Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties:
The postholder will be accountable to Country Director and to the Management Team more widely for the successful management of finance within the British Council Tanzania Directorate. The post holder will be responsible for leading and managing the resource team within the British Council Tanzania directorate.
